Pros
My immediate supervisor and my co-workers are desperately trying to actually focus on the quality of care and the patients as individuals. We are quality, caring staff.
Cons
Our division was a top quality division, recognized for providing quality care economically under our old vice-president's leadership. We have lost 3 Regional Managers, 3 Facility Administrators, several charge nurses, and staff because of a 'increase our profits by cutting staff and whoever's left will have to pick up the additional responsibilities and stay within the budget' mindset. We are now questioned on every supply order we've made which has often left us with borrowing from other facilities (competitors) due to lack of trust in our judgement. Several staff nurses, me included, are actively looking for positions elsewhere. Our recommendations fall on deaf ears.
