Pros

There’s no shortage of work so you’re always busy doing something. Decent starting salary. Vacation time is okay but not great. It’s use it or lose it and things are always busy so you need to set boundaries early on. Good place to start a career for a few years.

Cons

Once your salary is set there’s not much chance of increasing it. The playbook for a career here is simple. Negotiate hard on entry and then do something to get noticed so you get that first raise. The validation group is great at that, just find someone to pin some problems on and then you look great. After that first promotion go find another job because I have yet to see someone make more than one career move here. If you don’t get one in two years move on, it won’t be coming.

Pros

Get your experience and go

Cons

There is no work life balance. They expect you to travel at anytime for however long and no relocation bonus. Management will blame everyone else for software issue except themselves. Only real salary increase is through promotion b/c everyone across the board gets 3% raise every year no matter how well you did.
