Pros

Strong group of engineering resources and knowledge. Good peers. Fair starting salary.

Cons

Absolutely terrible management here. They tell you to do one thing and then when they talk to the customer promise something entirely different and unobtainable. They know darn well their promises were unrealistic but leave the project managers to take the blame. Sales and quoting can't even figure out what they sold leaving us to change orders on a project with no scope or definition. How does this seem okay? Everything requires approvals and justifications. I feel like I need to ask permission to go to the bathroom here. Raises and bonuses are tied to company performance, not your personal contributions. Zero reason to go above and beyond once you realize there's no reason to. Could be a cushy job for someone that doesn't care but no reasonable professional could tolerate this for long.

Cons

There is no work life balance. They expect you to travel at anytime for however long and no relocation bonus. Management will blame everyone else for software issue except themselves. Only real salary increase is through promotion b/c everyone across the board gets 3% raise every year no matter how well you did.
