Pros
Each Dairy Queen is owned by different franchise owners. I get a great pay. They have said we can get a monthly bonus if we make our labor, sales, and COGs each month, but I have never seen a bonus yet.
Cons
I do have to work 50 hours a week minimum. (for a single person like me its not to bad, but someone in a relationship it is difficult to have a personal life). I do not get to work 8-5, only once or twice a week, because most sales are at night and upper management wants me to be there to ensure product is delivered correctly. Making labor is a HUGE deal to my franchise owners, I do not have a problem making the labor, but sometimes we have to sacrifice other aspects to look good on paper, (less employees could mean slower service) Depending on where you are located, your age of employees could be mainly high school kids, therefore the maturity level is low, which means you have to stay on their case constantly. And as in any restaurant business, there are some rude customers that can get on your nerves.
