Dana Incorporated

Is this your company?

Only work here if you like high stress, low pay, and daily threat of plant closures. - Process Engineer Dana Incorporated Employee Review

Pros

Paychecks haven't bounced yet but I'm expecting them to any day now. The company has some good technology in the works but can't seem to follow through in getting them to market at a profit. Lots of good people with decades of experience in the industry to learn from if you're in the right area.

Cons

In the wrong market sectors and very bad leadership that is slow to change and mostly corrupt. Sales is a joke and nearly everything is sold at a loss. Most of the good people are gone due to attrition, plant closures, and disgust after the Chapter 11 emergence. The new people coming in either don;t know or don't care so we are probably headed back into bankruptcy.

Pros

Hard to be fired, good benefits, double time Sundays.

Cons

No room to grow. Pay scale is a tier system based on a union contract that we negotiate every 3-5 years and the raises are never more than a dollar or two. They offer apprenticeships that you only get if you are related to someone and have some kind of friend up front. Qualifications mean nothing you learn more you do more and get paid less than then the tier 1 employees which makes the newer highers also not want to work so you will be in limbo working harder for nothing.
