Pros

Good pay, benefits, and time off

Cons

They aren’t current on the point system with you and they don’t let you know when you’re getting a point. Upper management is bad no communication. My lead openly said he had social anxiety issues and this job is supposed to help him out with that well.. not a good place to start with that. He doesn’t have your back, can’t say things to you that’ll upset you, and if you tell him something he’ll make you think you can trust him and you can’t. You ask if it’s ok to leave for an emergency and he said yes. Later on its counted against you. It’s common sense the reason someone is asking you is to ask if they are getting a point not asking for your permission. Safety in this company is not taken seriously. Equipment is somewhat broken, oil can give you a rash and they won’t pay to take you to a doctor, oil is on the floor, only want fast workers that pick things up quickly, no safety is warned while you’re being trained. This place is like highschool, whatever you allow people to know is everyone’s business. Be prepared for people to stare at you if you’re slow. If you’re in an area that needs people, good luck trying to move up or to a different shift for life reasons. You work 6 days a week and they won’t tell you that in hire so ask.

Pros

Good work-life balance, decent PTO and benefits, friendly coworkers

Cons

Slow moving in central IT function, many decisions are made by committee, which slows the process way down. Compensation is below average. I have received promotions every 1-2 years for the last 5 years, but advancement in compensation has been very poor. At best it took 10 months to receive a 10% raise commensurate with my promotion. On the worse end, I received almost no salary increase despite my manager, their manager and their manager (our department head) approving the proposed raise.
