Pros

-Good benefits -Nice office -Good culture at the RSC -You own your work

Cons

-No diversity in Finance leadership. 11/12 SVPs and VPs are white. 10/12 directors are white -Darden Finance is comprised of very intelligent leaders that for the most part possesses no coaching, developing, and people skills -Promotions only come when there is a "consensus" across all leaders in Finance. Even if there is an open role, and your boss believes you are ready for the promotion the "council" has to approve it. The approach is great in theory but the people that ends up being promoted are the ones that kiss the ring of the 3 senior VPs who have more influence over the CFO (who is too far removed and does not know the talent in his function) and make arbitrary decisions on who to promote -Bad leadership from managers is rewarded with promotions. The managers that constantly have turnover under their team, even as they move to different departments, and overwork their direct report while taking credit for their work were promoted to director over the last 3 or 4 years. You would think that leaders at some point will make the connection between turnover and who the person reports to at the time but they're more concerned about finding an issue with the person that leaves
