Pros
-Low level management is pretty good -Most of the supervisors I've worked with are pretty hands off when you work at a Prime contracting facility -Pay is good (although I haven't gotten a raise in 3 years despite my co-workers from different contractors getting them) - Benefits are decent
Cons
- Communication among leadership isn't the best (IE: I was told there was a problem with my performance at one time, but was never able to state my case before the supervisors ruled that I was in the wrong, and received a "Warning" that my job would be in jeopardy if it happened again) - Travel is abhorrent, the person who handles my travel constantly kicks my travel requests as well as my reimbursement requests back over, and over, and over.. Before even asking any clarifying questions. - No company credit cards for contractors who travel often, that's not good. We shouldn't be expected to front the bills for travel (even if there is a pre-payment we can apply for)... Give us company credit cards and make it easy on everybody. - the new rental car system is hit and miss, it's nice to be able to charge a company account for a rental, but it's not good when that specific company doesn't have any cars available in the area that I am traveling to... We need accounts with all of the major rental companies. - PTO accrual just downright stinks.. accumulating only 6 hours or whatever it is, per pay period..with no starting bank for the year, is no good at all. We need a bank that resets every year so we can actually take vacation time, rather than burning it all during the holidays and then having to work ALL spring and summer long just to save up for the Holiday's again. I'd love to actually take some time off during the summer but can't without any PTO.
