Pros
The compensation is great compared to the local job market. It would be hard to find a better combination of competitive pay and low cost of living. The work is interesting, most of the rank and file employees are great people.
Cons
There is absolutely no organization. From top to bottom the left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing. Every little department becomes a fiefdom that ferociously guards its borders but has no sense of how its petty needs impact the overall organization. God help you if you need a part out of the warehouse. Most of that could be managed and dealt with if it weren't for the way the aircraft schedules change on a daily basis and overtime has become a way of life for production workers. I know one individual who worked over three hundred days last year. However, now that the vice president over production has left to work for another aviation company, morale and production are both improving.
