Pros
- amazing people and culture of open doors. If you really need to talk to the CEO (or other top managers), he will always make himself available even though his schedule is booked weeks and months ahead. - values-driven decisions; we don't publish one value on the website and act differently inside. DataRobot is a company where values were lived for years before they were actually verbalized and published on the website. - rapid development. Management and employees are mostly really mindful individuals and constantly reflecting on their actions and taking actions to improve themselves, company and the processes. Probably reviews from 6-12 months are not 100% accurate because the company is changing very fast. - work super hard culture is really about living your life to its fullest. That's why the company is providing employees with Dream Big (internal self-development program), opportunities to move between teams and departments to make sure that your job is what you're passionate about and you're happy to do what you do. Nobody tracks how many hours you work but people are really passionate here so they would work after hours to make something better, urgent etc. Because they DO CARE about their job, passion, and life. If you're someone with low level of passion - you won't survive here. - Flexibility. The company is really flexible in all meanings - open vacation, unlimited work from home policies. No hours tracking - work at whatever time works for you and your team. - freedom. Lack of structure gives an opportunity to do more, to learn more, to find non-trivial tasks for yourself, and actually to boost your career. Now DataRobot is grown enough that we do need more structure. But we're doing it wisely, not to lose our flexibility. - People, people, people. Opportunity to learn from and work with great people. - Amazing product. - Strong management personality, inspiring candid CEO. - All offices are treated as one team, no primary and secondary offices.
Cons
- Lack of structure and guidance sometimes. - We say we are flat but we really aren't anymore :D - Culture in which you always have a sense of urgency. Definitely not for everyone. You need to be cool with your time, relaxation skills, and self-management to succeed.
