Pros
I joined DataRobot nearly a year ago because I wanted the opportunity and challenge to help the company navigate the transition from startup to 1000+ company. I knew it would be hard and I knew it would push me past my limits — and it did not disappoint. I feel like I've been able to grow and take on bigger challenges and more responsibilities with every month in ways that I would never have anticipated at the outset. I think DataRobot has a lot of potential to dominate the enterprise AI market and has just started to scratch the surface of its growth.
Cons
DataRobot is a flat organization which means individuals have a lot of autonomy but it's also hard to know who owns what, what the most important things are, and how to make tradeoffs between different priorities. The most successful people are able to navigate this ambiguity and execute as well as self-advocate when they need more support. I think that requires a special kind of person to be able embrace and thrive in that type of culture.
