Pros
The CEO is not your regular CEO, but made up of the same material as the leaders of iconic companies, such as Apple, Amazon and Tesla, and I have complete trust in his ambition to make a change in the world, not just run for the quick dollar. The company focuses fiercely on keeping the employees happy and urges them to work their hardest and best. They have strong focus on things that lie outside of the actual work spectrum, with many social activities and their Dream Big initiatives, which focusses on getting employees to be their best version of themselves. The company is very international and diverse in culture, and it is of large value to me personally to be able to meet and work with people from both the US and Singapore, and almost everywhere in between. The Copenhagen office where I work has a very strong social connection, and most people who work here are not just colleagues, but friends who also spend time together after hours and on weekends. Like every other company, the culture is not for everybody, and DataRobot has a strong focus on working "super hard", but it does not expect you to compromise on your family life. Every week we call out employees who have made an extra effort on our weekly company meetings. I learn something new every day, you quickly get the feeling that you are working with some of the smartest people in the industry. Furthermore, the focus of our work is by some considered to be the 4th industrial revolution, and it is a hard code hooking point to any ambitious developer to be a part of such a revolution. DataRobot is not a bureaucratic nightmare of top-down management, but has a very flat structure, with never more than a few levels between you and the CEO, and Jeremy is always open to respond to you if you sent him an email.
Cons
If you prefer to work 9 to 5 with low expectations and low ambitions, DataRobot is not for you. If you have worked hard in periods, you can take time off in periods, but you are expected to be ambitious in your daily work. The fast-paced environment can make focus shift rapidly, and in times require you to work on multiple things at once. It's a part of the game if you want to be a market leader, but it can be very stressful to some types of people.
