Pros
Benefits are decent blue cross blue shield. All the overtime you could imagine.
Cons
Where do I even begin. For starters I have always wanted to work for AAM. My wife's grandfather retired from there, her stepfather worked here. However this place will consume all you have then some. I was beyond disappointed on their leadership personal as well as their supervisors. You ever wonder why you can't keep people look who you have running your company. A company works as a team to run properly this place does not. Their maintenance crew is way over paid for the crap job they do you got an education use it. Nope out taking smoke breaks and whatever else. So 9 times out of 10 I took the liberty to maintain my equipment if I could. Team leaders are suppose to relieved you from your press you are "suppose" to receive (2) 15min breaks and your 30min lunch at least everyone else does. As I am working like a dog at this hot press I see the team leader relieved others for there breaks and lunches. As soon as I say I need a break I'm told to get back to my press. Just because I am the lowest guy on the totem poll doesn't mean that I should be treated like a dog. The favoritism of certain employees shows. My wife is a engineer. She told me months ago to quite I was working for a company that does not value their employees or their company. I worked a Saturday a week or so ago. I went in at 11 am. My wife texted me at 8:32pm and says from a 11am to 8:30pm still no break or lunch? Mind you your shift ends at 11pm. Like what kind of crap is this I work a 12 hour shift to be taken advantage of. I had enough of this place I would not recommend anyone to work for a company that chooses to rag on their employees. Respect is earned not given. I went above and beyond my duties to this company. There were days I never had a lunch or a break in a 12 hour shift. I am a hard worker I know what I am worth. This place could use a decent clean out of lazy people.
