Pros

Great people, fantastic diverse work culture ... like none other I have ever experienced! Dedicated to employee moral. Very structured training program (love it) - nothing left out and not overwhelming. Warm, professional environment. Plenty of community volunteer opportunities.

Cons

One horrible employee with the personality that will suck the life out of your day. From my first on the job, other employees pointed him out. But he was useful (no more than other employees), so I cannot for the life of me understand why he couldn't be fired.

Pros

amazing culture, and you're usually treated like a business owner thats not micromanaged. I got the job when I was in my early 20s, and they trusted me with alot and let me fail and learn. profit sharing is great when you get it, but recently the housing market has been horrible so nobody is getting it. My PM is great and he makes sure I know that he's on my side. Training is great too - they make sure everyone is ot only up to date on new building knowledge, but they constantly invest in our knowledge base so we are all performing at our best. Upper management is also amazing. they are not on their high horse and unapproachable, and they genuinely care about their team.

Cons

You've heard it a thousand times on this page. The pay sucks, at least when compared to other builders. I'm single with no big payments or dependants, so I'm fine for now. However, I've heard other builders with different companies getting paid literally twice as much as me even with my bonuses, and I'm one of the top builders in the city when it comes to build time. Your satisfaction level also depends on the PM you have - mine is great, but others are heavy micromanagers that don't let you do a thing without their approval. They also put a massive emphasis on surveys, and there is zero tolerance for even irrational buyers. They say "that's why our goal is 90%", but that mentality is unfortunately not put into practice.
