Pros
If you work hard and take advantage of all the programs and opportunities you can, moving up the "food chain" isn't that difficult. The benefits are great. Depending on what area you're in, there is the opportunity to telework.
Cons
You will likely always be stuck with at least a few worthless coworkers - they won't pull their weight or even work at all. However, even if you go above and beyond to cover your work and theirs, you likely won't be recognized for your efforts and they won't be reprimanded for underperforming. Get used to working with people who don't work!
