Pros

The individual contributors are outstanding to work with. There is a strong sense of camaraderie, and the team feels like a family. People are genuinely willing to support one another, share knowledge, and collaborate to help everyone succeed.

Cons

The company has a heavy layer of middle management, particularly at the director level, which often slows decision-making and creates unnecessary bureaucracy. Several members of middle management displayed bullying or intimidating leadership behaviors, making it difficult to raise concerns or collaborate effectively. Leadership frequently changed priorities and direction, resulting in confusion and a lack of consistency. Expectations were often unclear, and strategic direction shifted without sufficient communication, making it challenging for employees to stay aligned and succeed. Compensation was below market rates for similar roles and responsibilities. The salary did not always reflect employees' contributions, experience, or the expectations of the position, which made it difficult to feel appropriately valued.

Pros

I worked with many talented, supportive individual contributors during my more than four years at the company. There was strong camaraderie among colleagues, and I had opportunities to grow, take on meaningful work, and earn a promotion.

Cons

My confidence in senior leadership deteriorated substantially near the end of my tenure. After I submitted my resignation, a vice president in my reporting chain told me that if I did not respond within one hour, she would fire me. Because I had already resigned voluntarily after more than four years with the company, I found the threat unnecessary, intimidating, and deeply unprofessional. At a company event, I also personally heard another senior leader make derogatory remarks about an entire racial or ethnic group in front of multiple colleagues. Conduct like this is especially concerning when it comes from people in senior positions. More broadly, I experienced and witnessed bullying and intimidating management behavior, frequently shifting priorities, unclear ownership, and leadership decisions that made effective collaboration more difficult. The individual contributors were often excellent; the primary problems were leadership conduct, accountability, and direction.
