Pros

-pay and benefits -kind coworkers -manufacturing, testing, and development all on site, many learning opportunities

Cons

-HR is not helpful, hard to find, and unresponsive -on-boarding does not provide any training on the system use required for day to day success -management is only worried about the customer and the company stock price, does not care about employees -too many administrative duties placed on engineers -projects are not properly staffed from conception to finalization -processes are not followed properly due to poor training of new employees -purchasing system is broken and distant, difficult to meet immediate customer needs with sluggish bureaucracy

Pros

The people are fantastic. The majority of managers are caring and supportive, and there are a lot of willing mentors. This, plus the fact that the teams are usually stretched thin, means that starting your career here is a great learning experience. You get to be involved in many different projects and take on more responsibility than you might at a bigger company. Work is fast-paced but with decent work/life balance. There are interesting opportunities to work with people globally.

Cons

In the last couple years, we were spun off and rebranded, saw our stock price tank, changed CEOs, and now are going through an acquisition. It’s a lot of change in a short time and it’s hard dealing with an uncertain future. There is also a tendency to shut down disagreements, and a lack of transparency around negative news. It’s also hard to keep advancing in the company and learning new things after a while.
