Pros
Good pay for someone out of high school or no degree or certification. Good opportunity in Atlanta to move up or around.pay scale is public and doubles from around 19 to 38 per hour over 10 years. Exponentially, so pay is under 30 for like 7 or 8 years. Free domestic and super cheap standby flights are nice. Seen the world for cheap. If you don’t like to travel or need money or good schedule or can’t do physical labor immediately, it’s not for you.
Cons
Ramp is hard physically. Nobody knows your name fr. Safety are always out to get you, you can get written up or fired easily, which limits ability to transfer or move up.Unless you kiss butt, hard to move around. Very chance or seniority based. Doesn’t really matter how “hardworking” you are. If you want full time, might have to work nights and or weekends for a few years. Part time is available and easier to get morning and give away. People get hurt if not careful, lift weights and lift with legs. Employee Bus is terribly slow and adds 30-45 minutes to your commute each way. They dock you hard for being late and can also keep you stuck or get you fired if repeat offender.
