Pros

Good WLB Flight benifits are attractive Good CSR activities and has a good brand.

Cons

Indian Managers weild no power and ultimately its always the US managers taking the big calls. Higher management have their own game of politics and power. Its rarely about the company's or employee's benifit, its mostly how these middle managers can survive at their job being totally incompetent. Most of the IT managers (US and India) fall into two categories - A. Originally from a service based company(Mostly cognizant or TCS a few filipino orgs as well) who sent them to US a long time ago and they are just surviving in Delta now(got a full time opportunity at Delta after working as a contractor for way too long) to maintain their Green cards/Visa. B. Indian managers who were hired from service based companies and are just trying to survive the Indian IT and have a stable and comfortable life and plan out the final few years before retirement or when AI takes away everyone's job. IT managers here are not your friend nor are competent enough to guide you technically . For most of them this is the best company they have worked for because "They give flight benifits, free food and cabs" and will shove those benifits down your throat because for them this is the maximum an employee can expect. Be ready to feel grateful for each benifit that the company provides you. TBH, the company itself is good , good brand good airline staff a clean reputation. The only thing that's not good is their IT primarily because its being handled by incompetent people who have no idea what they are doing in Tech and mostly trying to earn a paycheck after being in this company for so long. If you join this company in IT you will have a good carefree life , but you will never have growth . The worst for you would be if you are joining DTH India wherein you have to be prepared to just accept that you cannot have any ambition or goal because ultimately its always the people in the US that you will be working under no matter what you do.

Pros

Awesome company to work for! Fun work environment, cares about employees, great uniforms, competitive pay, just an awesome company to work for! They are very flexible, you can live anywhere in the world you want, as long as your able to get to work when you need to be there!

Cons

At the end of the day, it is a very large corporation. So it is very easy to become just a "number" in the company. The flight attendant group is not unionized, so rules can change very often. Make sure your time management is impeccable, because you cannot be late for work AT ALL, and there aren't many acceptable excuses, even rain is not an excuse.

Thank you for your review and recommendation of Delta. We work hard every day to make Delta a great place to work; it’s nice to hear how much you enjoy our company and our work environment. Our people and our culture are our most important competitive advantages and the direct relationship we have enjoyed with our flight attendants has served our people, our customers and our company very well. To that end, we have a strong open door policy that enables any employee to go directly to a leader with any concerns, and we have hundreds of flight attendants who are actively engaged in our business, providing feedback and working on solutions for their colleagues and our customers. At Delta, a consistent, reliable operation is one of the reasons our top customers come back to fly with us time and again. That makes employee reliability – being on time, every day, for your shift or your flight – especially important. We agree that having a fundamental understanding of the flight attendant role is important for our field leaders, and we also value diversity at all levels of the company. That’s why so many of our field leaders are flight attendant qualified and many still fly when their schedules allow. We appreciate your feedback and will be sharing it with our In-Flight team. –Wendy, Talent Acquisition Team
