Pros

PTO if you can even be allowed to use it assuming they allow you too, due to timing restrictions. Many of the people are good hearted and care about their jobs. The President of the company, Mike is amazing.

Cons

They claim to be competitive with pay which is a lie. They base their pay off their local market but over 50% of their employees live outside of Wisconsin, so that explanation is factually incorrect and low key gaslighting which HR and higher management are excellent at. Turn over is super high and when people leave, it's broadcast to the entire company. The company claims to live a high level culture abiding by core values, which many times is weoponized against low level employees by their superiors. Favoritism and work place politics is a massive issue at Delta and goes unchecked. HR has been at the center of several controversies, including an HR rep and sale director having inappropriate relations. Speaking of inappropriate relations, there are several employees that abuse this, some are in leadership roles. They preach accountability but fail badly at keeping people accountable. If you're not salaried, you're not a priority. HR will respond to negative criticism in reviews with cliche responses, such as "we put out annual employees surveys that are " anonymous" and consistently receive amazing feedback and have won many awards in regards". This is due to lack of trust in the surveys and employees fabricating their answers due to uncertainty of how they are tracked and the true anonymity of them. Same applies to monthly pulse surveys. They say they take feedback and grow.... They don't. Don't get me started on the many issues they have dealt with very poorly when it comes to court of opinions and bad press that has been around for years. They respond at the same pass the Government moves..... Slowly with lack of direction and execution. Most of the positive reviews on here are from HR or folks in leadership roles that are asked to put good reviews out there to keep the score over 4 points. Most of your employees are stressed and don't enjoy the current climate at Delta but are afraid to speak up and lose their jobs. While I shared that the President of the company, Mike is amazing, everything listed above is happening under his watch and seems to be hidden or not brought to his attention. HR at Delta is the worst HR department I've ever had the pleasure of working with and I've worked at companies much larger than Delta. Fix HR and audit your leaders and you'll see massive changes with employee turnover, satisfaction and positive workplace outlook.

RESPONSE FROM OUR CHIEF PEOPLE OFFICER: Thank you for sharing this feedback with us and your years of service. We take every review seriously and genuinely see them as opportunities to learn and grow. As part of our commitment to transparency and open communication, I actually read this review verbatim to nearly 650 employees at our All-Company meeting last week. I did this in the spirit of leaning in, transparency, and vulnerability. You see, when we know better, we do better. And I want all employees at Delta to help us do better. In addition, there were a couple of elements of your review that others may have the same question or concern, so I wanted to address them directly. I understand that this review reflects your experience as a former employee. And if this was your experience, then we have failed. It makes me really sad to read this review, and it does not reflect the culture and employee experience we are striving for. I am committed to understanding as much as possible about the concerns in this review and would like to make the same offer to you as I did to all employees during our all-company meeting - I invite you to contact me directly to further discuss your concerns in a way that helps us be able to address them. And if I personally am the thing in HR that isn’t working, then I invite you to contact our President, Mike, directly to speak with him. We are both committed to receiving feedback openly and appropriately addressing concerns. There’s a lot in this review that we really can’t address effectively and productively via this forum, but I do want to address two specific points mentioned in the review. First, regarding our compensation practices. I’m not sure what your source of information is, but we absolutely, positively utilize market data on a national level, NOT the local Wisconsin market. That is not a lie in any way. This was a change following a comprehensive compensation review in 2021. Since then, we use the national average as our benchmark. We have two exceptions: field sales roles (where we use the applicable regional market data) and two roles that must be performed on-site in Wisconsin therefore, we recruit locally and benchmark against the local market. Those roles are in the fulfillment dept and the office administrator role at headquarters. Other compensation changes and market adjustment increases were implemented following that review in 2021. These adjustments reflect our dedication to offering fair and competitive pay to our employees. Second, we acknowledge the concerns about workplace culture and accountability. We want to assure both current and prospective employees that we do not shy away from difficult conversations, nor do we tolerate inappropriate behavior. We address problems head-on, in alignment with our core values. When issues are brought to our attention, we take immediate action, as demonstrated by past situations where accountability was enforced. Specifically, the situation referenced in your post was addressed within hours of HR becoming aware. As I shared with all employees last week, we need employees to not hide behind a fear of what might happen if they speak up; we need employees to think about the tragedy of what will/is happening if/when they don’t. We encourage open dialogue and urge our team members to share their concerns directly. Again, when we know better, we can do better. I am always open to honest feedback and am committed to maintaining a culture of integrity and respect. We value the input of all our employees and are dedicated to creating a positive work environment where everyone feels heard and respected. Not speaking up puts our culture and the future of this company at risk. If I don’t get the opportunity to speak with you directly, please know that I wish you well in the future and want to thank you for this post. Sharing has sparked what I believe is a gift of more employees coming forward to share their experiences and be a part of the solution.

Pros

Not sure why there are so many bad reviews. I work at the headquarters and it’s wonderful! I have worked at a few companies and there is a night and day difference - Work life balance is great - Wonderful coworkers - Great work/team building outings - Leadership invests in professional development - Lots of opportunities to be in West Bend, all paid for by Delta - Delta is very picky with who is hired to ensure everyone fits the culture - Everyone is super kind and easy to get along with. Also, everyone is very skilled - C suite is very open and honest. Company wide meetings every week that allow everyone to be informed on what is happening. - Benefits are amazing: yearly stipend, generous pto (no problems using it), hybrid or wfh options, good health insurance, USCCA membership, good pay - The dress code is very casual - Paid time off to volunteer! Plus donation matching - The owners are VERY generous

Cons

- The hours can get long some days - Very open floor plan at HQ. This can be a pro or con depending on preferences - The CEO isn’t super involved in day to day operations - Not a con to me, but you must be supportive of the second amendment and feel comfortable around firearms. - If you are someone who likes to do the bare minimum, this probably isn’t the place for you - You will need to pass the culture test and write a values essay. Again, there is a high standard for hiring.

Pros

Good culture at corporate level

Cons

No support or culture at the local level- pretty much on your own. No Back up. Be prepared to work 7 days a week at all hours of the day or night.

Thank you for sharing your experience and for your time with us. We are always evolving in how we support our Sales team, including dedicated leaders in each geographic region and stronger local coverage, so team members are supported. We also want to clarify that we pay based on national pay markets, and that Sales roles include uncapped performance-based commission. Thank you for your time with us. We hope you have found happiness and success since your departure.
