Some practice groups tend to be better to work in so research your group carefully. The base salary is fairly on par with bay street.
Cons
Bonuses are not comparable to other bay street firms or even mid-size firms for the same amount of work and same or worse quality/work-life balance. Some practice groups are not pleasant to work in and have high turnover rates.
