Pros

Not all of IT is bad. Some teams, such as Application Support and Process Control groups are well managed and internally healthy. CEO is a quality person and leader. Other members of the Executive Team are equally as competent and run departments (Non-IT) that are attractive options for prospective employees.

Cons

High turnover rate in infrastructure team, especially by government standards. IT Infrastructure has a management style of firing employees he views as under-performing or unpopular. There's no people management skills, and can be cruel and unfair in employee assessments. Management continually defames current and former employees, and keeps current employees overworked, under-manned, does not communicate vision, mission, or any other thing that a normal management would.

Pros

Incredible work environment and organizational culture.

Cons

As a temporal intern, it was difficult to get to the office if you do not have a car.

Pros

Really great mission. Not as cutthroat as other companies I’ve worked for. Cares about employees and structure of organization makes it a government org that doesn’t suck money for endless projects.

Cons

Pay for entry level employees feels low.
