Pros

Paid Insurance Floating holidays Remote work.

Cons

This company used to be a supportive, family-oriented environment. Unfortunately, recent changes have shifted the focus entirely to metrics—metrics that fluctuate weekly and often lack consistency or transparency. Almost every team member has been placed on coaching plans, even when discrepancies and calculation errors are acknowledged by upper management. Morale is at an all-time low, and gaslighting is at an all-time high. Concerns raised by employees are routinely dismissed or minimized, even when leadership agrees the metrics are flawed. One member of upper management even stated that half of us won’t be here by the end of the year, which only adds to the stress and uncertainty. Employees are subject to strict, unforgiving metrics that start a 90-day countdown to termination—even when the numbers are clearly wrong. The widespread coaching feels less like development and more like a calculated effort to push people out, especially after leadership admitted to overhiring by 30%. It’s disheartening to see a once-positive culture become so numbers-driven that even high performers feel expendable. Some of the recent positive reviews clearly appear to come from management. The reality on the ground is very different—employees across the board are stressed, burnt out, and fearful for their jobs. Those who aren’t concerned are typically individuals who’ve been with the company for years or who hold roles that don’t require doing what others below them are expected to. There are also people in key roles who clearly lack the skills or capacity to support their teams effectively.

Thank you for your time and contributions during your tenure. We also appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear that much of your recent experience was negative. We recognize that change, especially in a fast paced startup like ours, can be challenging. As we grow and evolve, we’ve made efforts to improve accountability and outcomes across teams and always with the goal of serving our members with the highest level of care. That has included more focus on performance metrics, but we never want that focus to come at the cost of trust, clarity or support for our people. It’s deeply concerning to hear that you and others felt unsupported or dismissed when raising concerns. That’s not the environment we strive to create. We are actively working to ensure feedback is received constructively and that coaching is rooted in development, not fear. We recognize that employees feel supported and heard, especially during times of transition. Devoted was founded on a mission of care, not only for our members but for our team as well and that remains central to how we operate. We’ll continue to reflect on how we show up for our people and where we can do better. Thank you again for the time and effort you gave during your tenure. If you’d like to continue the conversation, please reach out to Dani Espinosa; dani.espinosa@devoted.com

Pros

The mission to serve Medicare members well was clear, and the early culture reflected that. Teams were empowered, different leadership styles were welcomed, and people were trusted to solve problems in practical ways. There are still many talented and mission-driven people at the company who care deeply about the work and about members.

Cons

As the company grew rapidly, the culture began to change. Metrics have always been a focus, which is understandable in a performance-driven environment, but the emphasis increasingly shifted toward tracking activity and “effort” rather than measuring meaningful outcomes. Smaller assignments that once would have been handled with flexibility began to receive disproportionate attention, creating an environment that often felt more micromanaged than empowered. At the same time, accountability did not always appear to be applied consistently across leadership levels, which can be frustrating for teams that are being held to strict standards themselves. Frequent performance framework changes and constant iterations also created confusion and fatigue on the ground. In several cases, supervisor turnover concentrated under the same leadership should have been treated as a signal worth examining. Overall morale in parts of the organization has noticeably declined compared to earlier years.
