Pros
Salary and benefits. Growth company with a smart Midland Executive Group and mostly good people within the overall organization.
Cons
OKC Accounting and IT executives are highly manipulative, totalitarian, retaliatory and self-serving. They dictate a culture separate and isolated from Midland executives. Bullying, harassment, unrealistic expectations and secrecy are the foundation of their OKC location culture. These issues stem from the original core management group who brush aside or retaliate against any reports made through regular channels. Specific remarks made in private HR meetings are regularly repeated in front of peers and used against the feedback provider. It is not uncommon to witness employees being degraded openly by the VPs or Controllers without pretense of discretion; witness people having their personal space invaded with hostility (blocking office entrances while openly demeaning an individual resulting in the elimination of their reasonable expectations of freedom of movement); cornering individuals in elevators and other confining areas while demeaning them (blocking their reasonable expectations of freedom of movement); or hearing people express fear of ending up in the garage with any of the three (of the four) top individuals in the organization; or witnessing sarcastic, condescending, and even false criticism openly delivered. The employees and most middle management are good, honest, and bright people, but if they report to an OKC VP, they work under “policies/expectations” more restrictive than company published policies. There is very minimal soundproofing in their office facility. The OKC executives can be regularly heard talking in a derogatory manner about all levels of employees by anyone walking in the halls or even in closed offices several offices away. The benefits are great and the OKC job market is minimal so most people are trapped. If they find a comparable job and base pay, which is difficult because most are grossly under titled, they walk away from large sums of time-restricted bonuses.
