Pros

Non-management employees (technical staff, account managers, client services) are amazing. The team works together well and is able to accomplish so much in spite of the way the company is run.

Cons

- Pay is egregiously below the industry standard (as a developer, I made less than $15/hour for over a year). ALL raises are 1-2% unless a promotion is involved. There is no 'starting' or 'probationary' salary - upon applying, you are asked to provide a 'desired salary' which you will be locked into for your entire employment. - No respect for disabilities or mental health. Disabled employees were treated just like other employees and management did nothing to help either them or their co-workers (e.g. employees were not even made aware of disabilities until the disabled employees themselves disclosed them). - Rampant un-professionalism by management: a literal dog (the owners' pet) is included in every meeting and is given more attention than employees; management will shout, curse, and use intimidation tactics; an employee was denied their bonus because they did not attend the Christmas party (which was on a Saturday); management has required employees to write Glassdoor reviews as part of job duties which are reviewed by management before posting; managerial hierarchy is always transgressed for convenience's sake - Overtime can be extreme and will not be compensated, even when management tells you it will be. Employees will occasionally be forced to work 16 hour days, including on the weekends. Management acts as if this is normal, even when employees have worked so long that they cannot remember driving home at 3AM. - No work/life balance. Managers have no problem calling you out of the blue on the weekends to work and have no respect for your life outside of the business. - Company acts like a non-profit when it serves them (see some of the other reviews) but is a for-profit company that is very profitable. The company will charge their clients 5-10 times what you are paid for your time alone. - Benefits are horrible: catastrophic health insurance is ~$25/month, dental is ~$40/month. These prices went up yearly. - The technology stack is 10-20 years old and uses an undocumented, proprietary language - as a developer, you will not gain many skills that can be applied in other roles. - By the time I left the company, every morning meeting was preceded by reading one of the 30+ 'Guiding Principles' of the company as a joke (due to how far from reality they were). This should be a good indication of employee morale. - The person in charge of the entire technical team is one of the least technical people in the company. As such, technical decisions are not well-informed.
