Pros

Pay is about the only good thing

Cons

There are too many cons to remember! Here are the ones I wish I would have known prior to working here: 1. Management, or at least the ones who haven't left by now, are washed up mediocre sellers and technologists who can't land a job at a legit innovative software company. 2. There is no "Platform" that they claim there is. It's still 5 separate solutions, which haven't been improved or seriously enhanced since TPG acquired the 5 companies. They use to be incredible solutions which have been passed up by all of the competition. Large customers are consistently churning, and sales can't land new customers due to stale old products and absolutely no marketing help. 3. The CEO is over his head and wont be lasting much longer. No vision for the future what-so-ever. 4. The turnover is unreal. Sales, presales, and CSMs are constantly leaving. Rarely will you see an AE staying longer than a year. The ones that have are barely hanging on due to one or two large customers (who will churn like the rest). 5. The benefits are the worst I've seen or ever had in my career, especially medical and prescription. Have fun getting a prior auth for literally every medication! 6. It's a typical private equity run business. They live and die with the renewal $.

Pros

Digital.ai has a strong and genuinely supportive leadership team that makes it easy to succeed and feel valued from day one. The work-life balance is excellent, and the compensation package—both salary and commission—is competitive for the market. The downtown Raleigh office is in a great location, offering plenty of energy, convenience, and places to grab food or meet with colleagues. Overall, it’s a welcoming environment with a great culture.

Cons

None so far—I’ve just started, and everything has been positive.

Pros

The people. Some of the best people I have ever worked with. That includes HR. It has been a team effort from day 1. The pay is reasonable, the opportunity to win seems to be not so far away and you get credit when you shine. My managers never bothered me and allowed me to work, solve problems without unnecessary micromanaging and politics. Ultimately, they do care about their employees and don't pit team members against each other like the "FAANGS".

Cons

Too many titles outside of engineering. Work there long term, then watch your 401k grow at a snail's pace since there is no matching. There is no tuition reimbursement either. There is almost no emphasis on career development and no clear paths to progress. You have to be super aggressive with your own career planning. They took away U***y, which was very useful for self-training. 2-3 years is enough time there before you realize you might be boxed in.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re thrilled to hear that you’ve had the opportunity to work alongside such talented colleagues and that you’ve felt supported by your managers. Creating an environment where employees can thrive, collaborate, and be recognized for their contributions is a priority for us. Career development and clear growth paths are also a top priority, and the O’Reilly learning platform we implemented last year (replacing Udemy) has received great feedback from employees and is an important part of that commitment. We value your feedback and will continue to work on making Digital.ai a place where both people and careers can grow.
