Pros

I have had a very positive experience working at Diligent. The company offers employee benefits that are honestly hard to find in Bangalore right now. From a people and culture perspective, the organization genuinely tries to take care of employees, which makes a big difference in day-to-day work life. One of the strongest aspects of the company is the tech team. There are many highly skilled and knowledgeable professionals, and it is a great place to learn from talented colleagues. The environment encourages collaboration and you get exposure to people who really know their craft. I also feel that sometimes Glassdoor ratings only show half the picture. People who are unhappy are more likely to write reviews, while many employees who are satisfied don’t always take the time to post feedback. Based on my personal experience, there are many positive aspects that may not always get reflected fully online. I’m currently on the verge of leaving the company, and I can genuinely say that I leave with a sense of regret because it is rare to find a workplace with such a supportive crowd and employee-centric approach.

Cons

Like any organization, it isn’t perfect. As the Bangalore site continues to grow, the site structure and processes may need some refinement for a smoother start. The site leadership is technically strong, though there could be an opportunity to strengthen the people management aspect of leadership. Additionally, the brand recognition in the market is not as strong as it should be, especially considering how employee-friendly the company actually is. The marketing and brand teams could potentially do more to highlight the company’s strengths and culture externally. Overall, it has been a valuable experience working with such talented people in a company that genuinely cares about its employees.

Pros

The product is market-leading, and the space is genuinely interesting. There's no shortage of smart, capable people at Diligent. A lot of talented managers exist within the org who could do more if given the room.

Cons

Direction changes constantly — sometimes it feels quarter over quarter. The result is widespread burnout and an inability to execute. Senior leaders rarely push back on the CEO, which means teams absorb every strategic shift without warning or context. HR leadership prioritizes serving the executive team over the broader employee population. The HR team is stretched thin and operates more like a compliance function than a culture or development partner. (Turnover within HR leadership has been notable.) Pay is below market. The equity program is opaque, poorly managed, and functions more as a retention mechanism than a genuine benefit (with no clear path to liquidity). There's a meaningful gap between what the company says it stands for—especially around employee experience—and what it actually delivers internally.
