Pros

I have been at Diligent for over 1 year now, and I couldn't be more excited about making the decision to join. It checked all of the boxes that I personally was looking for - Growing, global firm yet with a long history and track record of winning. I found the product itself and he culture around customer experience, product and security to be extremely professional and something I have grown very proud of. I think it's cool that our product helps Board Members be better at governance and decision making, in a world where we need this to see companies/economies/ succeed in challenging times. It's actually a really fun environment too. People work hard and are serious about their work, but don't take themselves too seriously either. It's a nice mix of long tenured folks and new joiners from various firms and industries. You can be yourself, wear jeans or dress up and most importantly you can really feel your contribution. I couldn't say that in most of the super huge organizations where I had worked before and I was one of too many.

Cons

Need to get more recognition for Brand and Product, it's not a well known space.

Pros

The product is market-leading, and the space is genuinely interesting. There's no shortage of smart, capable people at Diligent. A lot of talented managers exist within the org who could do more if given the room.

Cons

Direction changes constantly — sometimes it feels quarter over quarter. The result is widespread burnout and an inability to execute. Senior leaders rarely push back on the CEO, which means teams absorb every strategic shift without warning or context. HR leadership prioritizes serving the executive team over the broader employee population. The HR team is stretched thin and operates more like a compliance function than a culture or development partner. (Turnover within HR leadership has been notable.) Pay is below market. The equity program is opaque, poorly managed, and functions more as a retention mechanism than a genuine benefit (with no clear path to liquidity). There's a meaningful gap between what the company says it stands for—especially around employee experience—and what it actually delivers internally.
