Pros

Work from home options Before all the acquisitions were made, operations were very stream-lined.

Cons

Client don't know who to reach for enquiries. Managers will throw you into the deep end with projects. The company keeps acquiring new business then forces each teams to merge their products and services, without giving the teams any time for training. Terrible terrible structure. Line managers don't even know tasks of their direct reports because everyone comes from a different team from a different brand. Structures keep changing every 6 months, disrupting the entire organisation and workflow. Also, even after working for over 3 years in this company, plus going above and beyond work, pay has been so low and quite insulting. Pay increments were so low they were not even pegged to inflation. Also, they will "promote" you to a better sounding position and increase responsibility, yet their pay barely increases. My pay is 35-40% below median and average pay compared to other companies. They initiate a lot of workshops or fun things to do for employees, but don't pay their employees right either. I'd rather take the pay increase than do cocktail making or get free cake every month.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. We’re glad that you appreciate the flexible work from home options we offer. We were, however, sorry to hear your broader feedback and concerns, as they do not reflect our desire to offer competitive benefits and support for our team members. The challenge of inflation is impacting employees and organizations globally; to ensure our pay is competitive, we utilize market data annually to monitor and assess the cost of labor in each location and set pay ranges for each job accordingly to ensure fair--and compelling--pay. We hear you that our rapid growth and acquisitions can bring unique challenges — our evolution as a company has introduced complexity, and we’re working hard to streamline our workflows, align different areas of the business and maintain transparency along the way. Our internal goals-setting process, monthly town halls and Q&A sessions are a few of the ways we’re seeking to be open and accountable as we move forward. In the meantime, we strive to strike a balance between delivering the best possible service for our customers, growing as an organization and supporting our colleagues. Some of the ways we’re promoting our team members’ wellbeing include generous time off, an annual recharge week and dedicated Employee Resource Groups. In terms of your feedback on management, we take your concerns very seriously and would appreciate more context around your comments. If you’d feel comfortable, please reach out to HRconfidential@diligent.com with more details around your experience. We value your candid feedback and will give it careful consideration. Thank you for being a valued part of our team, and please do reach out to your manager or any ELT member if you’d like to discuss your concerns further. - Avigail Dadone, Chief People Officer

Pros

The product is market-leading, and the space is genuinely interesting. There's no shortage of smart, capable people at Diligent. A lot of talented managers exist within the org who could do more if given the room.

Cons

Direction changes constantly — sometimes it feels quarter over quarter. The result is widespread burnout and an inability to execute. Senior leaders rarely push back on the CEO, which means teams absorb every strategic shift without warning or context. HR leadership prioritizes serving the executive team over the broader employee population. The HR team is stretched thin and operates more like a compliance function than a culture or development partner. (Turnover within HR leadership has been notable.) Pay is below market. The equity program is opaque, poorly managed, and functions more as a retention mechanism than a genuine benefit (with no clear path to liquidity). There's a meaningful gap between what the company says it stands for—especially around employee experience—and what it actually delivers internally.

Thank you for taking the time to share such thoughtful feedback about your experience. We truly appreciate you recognizing the strengths of our product and the talent across our team, and we’re glad to hear the space feels interesting and compelling. We also recognize that as a company focused on governance, risk and compliance, that it’s critical to hold ourselves to the same high standards internally. Through our monthly pulse surveys, we listen to our team, learn and actively work to strengthen any areas of feedback from alignment to transparency, or accountability across our leadership teams. In fact, one of our OKRs is focused solely on ensuring we have an empowered and accountable team, which we rally around as an organization. We appreciate other sources of feedback like yours, as it is an important part of that effort. Our People team is committed to supporting an elevated employee experience and continuously improving how we listen, respond, and evolve. While we won’t always get everything right on the first try, we are highly focused on continuing to iterate and making meaningful progress to ensure our actions reflect our values. We encourage continued feedback and appreciate you sharing your perspective. If you’d like to provide any additional context, please feel free to reach out at: HRConfidential@diligent.com
