Pros

-it is easy to get hired at this location because management is always looking to fill positions due to high turnover rates -employee discount, after signing up for a company credit card -opportunities to win prizes during holiday promotional events

Cons

-low chance of getting a raise or higher position, even if management promises you one -schedule is not flexible -work environment is not friendly, including between managers and associates -employees do not accrue much sick time or PTO, and it is rarely approved when earned

Pros

Helping Customers is the best part of the job and the team in my area is outstanding. I learned many skills that I can take with me to my next gig.

Cons

Dillards only concern is the sales per hour number or if your area number declines (most sales are down due to the current economy). If your sales do not meet the requirement, your hourly pay will be reduced (mine was reduced by $2, so I gave notice). Never mind that the first six months I increased sales by 4%. I heard rumors of pay decrease but didn’t really know that was a thing. Hard work is not recognized nor appreciated. The turnover is insane. They beg you to refer people but no one ever does. The culture is one of the saddest I have ever witnessed.
