Pros
Great associates. I met some of my closest friends working here.
Cons
Work/Life balance is non-existent. Management is awful. Corporate is even worse. From the top down, policies that promote micromanagement and unfair treatment are passed down. Training is minimal, registers and computers are archaic, the workload is almost unmanageable at times, hours are awful. There is no HR department aside from the Assistant Manager of your store, so there is nowhere to turn if you need to speak to someone about policy. Paid time off and sick time are a joke--good luck if you are injured or need to take a leave due to illness. The pressure for sales is too intense for a job of this level. Personally, I had Account Managers texting and calling on my off time to harass me about sales, and my store managers threatening my job on an almost daily basis. Management is inherently distrustful of employees which creates a really hostile work environment.
