-You only get 2 weeks of vacation and an additional week after working 10 years (but no one makes it that long) -Company culture is toxic -They make you feel as if you can’t be sick or go take time for a doctors appointment -Sick time is 72 hours -If you have covid you are now expected to come in while sick but wear a mask -High turn over rates due to lack of benefits and poor management -You will be working almost every holiday except the major ones(4 or 5) -Healthcare is expensive for what you get. Pretty much every doctor is out of network -Pay is below average for a designer role -Design workload is slowly being outsourced by an incompetent director -The design role is no longer designing and is not a true/real apparel designer role. Responsibilities are now to let other vendors design and develop product while you babysit them and push paperwork( and when the vendor messes up it’s your fault) -They told me designers get to travel but they do not. -They also told me there was so much room for personal development and career growth. There is certainly not. -Inexperienced director micro manages and when they mess up blames it on the designers -After reading this if you still want to work there make sure you are dressed like and influencer and have to followers to back it up otherwise you probably won’t get the job even if you are completely qualified.
