Pros
It's a good job for someone to work part time or for a young adult who has no children.
Cons
They get new employees by offering a very competitive hourly wage... between 9 and 10/hr. They then give a daily quota that is almost impossible to reach, and if you consistently fail to meet the quota, they give you a PAY CUT of a full dollar an hour. It is unfair because they assign their employees to sections that are within the department. For example, in the men's department, there are 5 sections: Big & Tall, Polo, denim (Coogi, Enyce, etc), suits, and contemporary (perry ellis, liz claiborne, etc). At my store, there wasn't much business because the prices are too expensive. The section that got the most traffic was Polo. The lady who worked in Polo consistently got pay raises while the rest of us were getting pay cuts, and pressure to sell more, even though there were no customers and little effort from managers or marketing to bring them in.
