Pros
Pay is great, you get what you put in. It's serving, so your pay comes from mostly your tips. The restaurant is high volume so you always have the opportunity to make decent money per shift. The restaurant pays minimum wage - so pay very tip based. They're always hiring - turnaround at the restaurant is crazy.
Cons
Management does not care about you - asked to work long hours. If you're not "full-time" you're still working full-time hours without benefits. Management is disrespectful towards servers, hostess, runners - definitely favoritism in the restaurant environment. Company culture is terrible: They use your pay against you, "you make good money, why are you complaining?" They make you feel like disposable, "if you don't want to do it we can find someone else." They don't appreciate you, "you should be thankful you have this job," and never the other way around. Very difficult to take time off, LIKE EXTREMELY, difficult. You're on your own to find your shifts covered, if you don't make it to your shift you're ridiculed for it.
