Pros

Dog friendly, so it's cool that I can bring mine with no issues. Free drinks everywhere, ice cream if you feel like walking, catered in food is always somewhere. Fitness center, yoga if you're in to that.

Cons

I've noticed that they only hire "token blacks". The lack of diversity is downright oppressive. I have a very diverse group of friends (I am white) and when I hear some of the off color (no pun intended) jokes that are told at work I'm offended. The pay is very low compared to competitors or similar roles in other companies. The CEO seems cool..... Until you have a one one conversation then you realize that the racism comes from the top down. He pretends to know everyone's birthday in the company but every time my team mate sees him he calls him by another black employees name. In his defense, the company is 98.9% white.... So uhm yeah....

Pros

Great campus, good people at the ind. contributor level, hybrid schedule, privately owned (they claim "employee owned" but employees have no power, they just have a portion of their 401k invested in internal stock, which is great as long as number-go-up)

Cons

- Suffers from AI psychosis. Founder saw ChatGPT 3.5 and after that anyone with "machine learning" was hired/had clout and every project had to have "AI" in it somewhere. Meanwhile their homegrown tech stack is completely neglected. - Likes to pretend its some plucky, Silicon Valley-worthy startup, claiming that they're a "platform company". In reality they are a drop-shipper (that started as a catalog) that has a sales platform side-business along with other ancillary services for senior living companies. Very high on their origin story. - Literally claim the employees are "saving seniors lives" (and try to get you to donate to their PAC using that line), but couldn't care less whether they are doing business with some of the worst private equity ghouls on the planet. - Like most, upper management is just completely disconnected from the people at the ground level. Meanwhile they will throw gobs of money at anyone coming from a tech company, who all just come in and say "we need to add AI to that"
