Too many to even start listing, but here’s the highlights:
- Company focus is off. Wayyyyy to focused on sales, and bringing on new clients, without cultivating new talent enough to even remotely successful at working said new clients.
- Instant burnout. You are spread thin from the jump, and made to feel like you’re doing “bad work”, instead of just being underprepared due to lack of proper training and growth period before being thrown to the wolves. Leadership says “we were lied to in hiring”, about talent that can’t handle the workload or produce good quality, but it stems from the bulk of the work you are thrown instantly, rather than talent level.
- CEO talks the talk but can’t walk the walk. Doesn’t have a good read at all on what actually happens on a one to one level between an account manager and a client. Just speaks to concepts and theory about being a good employee, rather than actually releasing helpful policies/structure.
- Blame game is strong here, even from the CEO. Leadership from the top down is wonky in structure, and there is no clear process in place for literally anything.
BOTTOM LINE: I would not recommend this place to just any peer or networking connection. It takes a very specific kind of person who can come in and actually be successful and enjoy it, and it’s few and far between. At times, I wouldn’t even recommend Directive to prospective clients.
