Pros
It's immediately recognized and has a loyal following among viewers. Also, you get to see things that the general public is not privy too. It was alot of fun to see advance screenings of shows before they aired.
Cons
Too much favoritism and underserved advancement oportunities, especially towards young, good looking white women who don't have the experience or judgement to work in management positions. I felt they were not fair in offering opportunities for advancement for people who truly worked hard and deserved it. In my old deparment, the department head and his senior managers tended to show favoritism towards young, "hot" white women and promote them to positions that they were too young and inexperienced for. In nearly every case, these women would crash and burn and end up leaving. Those of us who were not as "hot" but who worked hard and did a did a good job were not rewarded with promotions.
