Pros

-Provides the paid experience necessary to apply for local 911 services.

Cons

- No communication with management. They seem to just make decisions and implement them without prior consulting or communicating with employees. -iPad based PCR's leave a lot to be desired. No chargers in the rigs and dependent on a constant data connection to get anything done. Communication with dispatch based in New York is done through a chat app. -No radios put crew in unnecessary danger when communicating while driving or in an emergent situation. Also no communications redundancy exists with the current iPad system. -Health insurance is overpriced. $280 is a lot to ask for employees making $13/hr -Uniforms are too casual. As professional emergency medical technicians, the causal uniforms reflect negatively on how the public perceive our skills and knowledge. -The name sounds unprofessional. From the general public to the nurse staff at hospitals, people joke about the grammatically incorrect name. -No straight answers from management. We are just as much in the dark about goings on in the company as someone on the outside.

Thank you for your feedback. While the business is growing rapidly, management is always available for employees to voice concerns and to get feedback. We put an emphasis on clear lines of communication, and encourage you to reach out to your Station Supervisor or management to discuss your concerns directly. In our company, which is a technologically advanced organization, we’ve replaced two way radios with iPads as our form of communication. As for uniforms, a traditional para military uniform is very effective for crews responding to emergency 911 calls. In the non-emergency world, the traditional attire can be intimidating and scary for the patient. For this reason, we’ve opted for a more casual appearance to reduce anxiety and promote a more “relaxed vibe” in an industry that is generally the opposite of relaxed. Our HR teams work tirelessly to provide employees with the most affordable plans with the best coverage available to protect you and your families. All our EMTs are offered continuous education and training programs to improve their skills and ensure patients are provided only the best of care. Operations are changing, for the better, and we appreciate you riding the tides of change with us. At the end of the day, our goal is the same. We’ll take your feedback and make the company even better. P.S. We like our name.
