Pros

Banker's hours, not commission based so no high pressure sales numbers to meet.

Cons

Gender biased - if you are a male, you will get promoted much quicker and will be paid more as well. There is definitely a boys club atmosphere despite a large portion of the company being female. Upper management is very male dominated and very full of cliques. They care more for themselves than the people who work under them. They will tell you how lucky you are to work there because they are not commission based, and because of that you should never ask for more money. Yes, you are underpaid but you don't have to sell! You should be grateful for the pittance we provide.

So far everything has been a Pro, total teamwork! Everyone is so kind and so helpful. My experience has been nothing but wonderful. My management team and coworkers are the best. They only seem to want the best for you and if you want to move up or go in a different direction, they are more than happy to help you!!! The training is great and very thorough!!!

Pros

Plenty of opportunity at dollar for growing your knowledge and experience. Leadership does care about their people and there is a a fair bit of access to executive management. Benefits are pretty good with insurance, gym reimbursement, 401k match and other things.

Cons

Performance incentives are sorely lacking here. If you are a high performer, you get the same performance incentive distributed into your 401k as someone who is average. Management also has a track record of adding responsibilities but not necessarily increasing compensation. The other main item is that the majority of employees have started and stayed at dollar. Coming in externally with difference experiences can be challenging.
