Pros

Great benefits, awesome coworkers, great pay

Cons

Every job has its ups and downs and for the first 8 years of my career with Dollar Tree everything was good. No serious complaints until the latest DM came in. When she came in everything was great. We were already a great preforming district and she gave us wonderful ideas and we were doing even better. The only problem that we had was she was extremely unprofessional. She gossiped about other store teams to other managers and belittled people. When I found out my mother was terminal and asked for a couple days vacation to cope she denied the vacation time. I used to feel like a team and that my job was important but she had ways of making people feel like they were nothing.

Pros

I enjoyed working at Dollar Tree because it allowed me to lead a team, help develop associates, and make a difference in my store. I liked the fast-paced environment and the variety of challenges that came with running daily operations. The experience helped me grow as a manager, strengthen my problem-solving skills, and build great relationships with both my team and customers.

Cons

The biggest challenges were limited staffing, heavy workloads, and a lack of support from the district level when issues arose. PTO requests were often denied due to business needs, which made it difficult to achieve a good work-life balance. While these challenges could be frustrating at times.
