Pros

Days went super fast, loved repeat customers, management never treated us like their minions, no price checks, tons of hours if you'd like them. Plus the uniform was very simple and inexpensive.

Cons

The hardest working employees were treated the same as the useless bums who came for a check. Some ppl were so lazy and ungodly rude to customers it blew my mind, yet , they still are working there. Favoritism is a huge issue as well. Standing on concrete floors for 6 hrs on register being insanely busy while others act busy and text on the floor is very annoying. Not being able to select which inventory we want sucks. For ex: if we sell out of certain socks every time they hit shelves within 1 day you'd think we'd be able to convey that to someone so we can order 3x as many. Nope. Random shipments are not based on sales productivity.

Pros

My coworkers are kind and honest. The work is fun when it can be and some of the customers have a good spirit. When it comes to your break, you can at least afford your snacks/meals cause they're cheap. I find it fun to look into what my customers are buying. Managers are great and modest about their greatness. Would recommend to a friend because there are worser places to work at.

Cons

Some people have been consistently calling out in my area and I am burnt out from people who don't show up when they're scheduled to. If you're a cashier, you only get a ten minute break and it's not enough time for ramen. You'll feel lucky when you get 30 minutes for covering someone else's shift. Corporate is dramatic with some of their rules, like it's considered theft if you don't pay for your food, but you require a manager to be present in order to pay for it, and managers can be busy at times. Some customers can be quite impatient whilst making the line longer with demands, especially if they don't calculate their finances whilst shopping. Some of the technology is old and when it's broken down, I am told that I am not allowed to put "out of order" signs up. Some customers don't understand that they should never pay with a $100 bill early in the morning at any store. If you want to volunteer and do extra work without a payroll, you will be told that you can get written up for it because they have to pay you. The trainings on workday are obvious that they're old by many years and have not been updated to match new policies.
