Pros
Good job stability Ample opportunity for overtime if desired Best sick time of anywhere I've worked
Cons
Base pay is below industry average Very short staffed with multiple crews requiring overtime coverage to staff the watch. They've been trying to hire but given the qualifications process it'll be months until anybody that is hired can make a dent in the staffing issue and until then people are openly talking about where else they're applying/interviewing so it may still get worst before better. The job requires shift work which can be a strain on sleep cycles and families. Shift differential pay is a flat payout so it doesn't scale with your pay progression and hasn't been updated in nearly 20 years. Plant performance had been on the decline within the industry.
