Pros

-Generous compensation package at the time. My understanding is that stock options have decreased or been eliminated, and wage is no longer competitive

Cons

-DoorDash has been one of the worst managed companies I've ever seen, let alone had the displeasure of working with. -Busy body MBAs do not personally care unless you're at 100% productivity 100% of the time. My prior manager attempted to place my employee on a PiP because he was struggling with infant care, then placed me on a PiP when I pushed back. I was told, and I quote, "we need to get our money's worth" out of this new parent. - Forget maternity or medical leave. Senior managers brag about being logged in from the delivery room. DoorDash does not care about you, your well being, or your family. - Think you're safe? Raising concern to HR is about the fastest way out the door. I've known exactly three peers who filed formal employee relations complaints, each of whom were randomly terminated without notice. If you're being harassed, and you enjoy your salary, keep your mouth closed. - HR will absolutely lie if it protects the right manager. Remember, these people are not your friend, and they exist to protect power above all else. - Rather than investing in systems, DoorDash is content to keep literally incinerating money on "new" technology. Stock price fell off a cliff in late 2025 as a result, and isn't coming back. - Visibly LGBTQ? I hate to break it to you, but you're first in line for every reduction and staff. Every team re-org was accompanied by flushing queer folks, people of color, or both. If you don't "look the part," you're not moving anywhere. - Speaking of re-orgs, because DoorDash has yet to understand what stable management entails, expect your team, management structure, homesite, and entire job responsibility to rotate every 3 months. They'll call it "flexibility," we know its a complete inability to manage. - A woman or femme at work? You can take comfort knowing DoorDash donated $1 million dollars to Andrew Cuomo's mayoral campaign. Never forget that your safety, and freedom from harassment, is substantially less important than some operational kickbacks. - For that matter, judging by the string of labor lawsuits DoorDash is constantly facing, the company likely considers paying you at all to be relative. After all, DoorDash hasn't quite figured the secret sauce out of paying their drivers or store employees, well, at all, and major cities are taking notice. - I wish I was kidding in the subject line; I was formally diagnosed with PTSD from my mistreatment at DoorDash in late 2025, and this review will be the closest I get to any justice.

Pros

You make tips and get to shop at a lot of stores. More areas are open for delivery. You don't go far and have specific zones, like cities, you stay in usually. They give you a special tier of being a Dasher when you're doing the best deliveries, they're called tiers from silver to gold to platinum. Platinum gives you the dash now button allowing you to dash whenever.

Cons

Sometimes the delivery will get marked as if you didn't deliver the item and it gets put on you. There's sometimes drastic waits between orders. The restaurant may be closed or out of the thing the customer ordered. You can't decline order or else the acceptance rating goes down and you'll lose the certain requirements to be a higher tier driver.
