Pros

Paid direct deposit on Mon.-Tues. Knowledge of where great food is served within your neighborhood.

Cons

Note: 1/3 of all monies received will be taxed back to gov. through W1099! Beware, when gas prices spike, it's on you to still manage a profit. Dasher app problematic and sometimes will communicate error that customer service in the Philippines will quickly see you are the source of the problem. (Probationary period) Beware that you have to pick and choose what is (offered) to you when dash opportunities appear in app. Why, because if you're not calculating dollars / miles to deliver food, you'll learn the hard way that you're not making a profit.

Pros

Very flexible Work as much or as little as you want The pay, tips, etc, could be better but times aren't the same for everyone as they used to be, so I completely understand.

Cons

I think door dashers are definitely underappreciated and underpaid for what they do

Pros

If you are considering working with this platform, be aware that the management model is built on deliberate ambiguity. The app and software are designed to keep you in a constant state of uncertainty regarding your performance metrics. There is no transparency regarding how jobs are assigned or how your work is actually evaluated. This appears to be a calculated strategy to keep workers chasing 'better status' without ever providing a clear path to achieve it. You will never know if you are truly meeting expectations because the system is intentionally opaque. Approach with caution if you value transparency and clear communication.

Cons

The supposed 'flexibility' of this role is actually a double-edged sword. While the platform advertises freedom, it functions as a lack of structure and support. Because the performance metrics are intentionally opaque, the 'independence' of the job feels more like isolation. You are left guessing if your efforts are actually valued or just another input in an algorithm that doesn't prioritize worker success.
