Pros
I love the team I work with, some of the most intelligent, kind, and compassionate people I’ve ever met. Good benefits.
Cons
Management management management. They work from home, no transparency either so no one has any idea what they actually do from home other than get paid. Absolutely zero help on the floor while we are all drowning, and while patients are suffering from lack of hands to provide proper care - at times literally passing in kennels. Not good enough pay for what we have to endure. HR “hears” you and “understands” but nothing you suggest truly matters, they’ll do what they see fit for profit and revenue regardless. Tout themselves as a “teaching hospital” but the only hands on learning you will receive is from the wonderful employees that take the time out of their day between everything else going on go teach you - if it weren’t for them (who are leaving in droves unfortunately) I wouldn’t have learned more than I could pick up on my own. Training is horrible, you’re thrown to the wolves and have to struggle on your own. Even attempts to request help from new employees are unanswered and ignored. Finally when they pushed out most of their staff they have reduced hours to match the extremely sparse staffing, but don’t be fooled - it wasn’t a moment of heroism it was a moment of desperation.
