Pros

Diverse businesses; lots of upward mobility...but only if you are listed as a "high potential"; successful recent results

Cons

Ethical gaps make the "Dover Values" not worth the plastic cards the words are printed on; Hugely political organization, especially at its Downers Grove headquarters; corporate leaders are asserting more control over operating companies, although in many cases they lack enough knowledge of businesses to not hurt results; limited regard for employees who they treat as disposable assets; limited upward mobility for those not on the high potential list...and heaven forbid if you're older and lack enough "runway" -- then you're done.

Pros

Consistent focus on the employee experience, service to customers, and shareholder value. Our values are integrated into hiring, performance management, and leadership development. Locations all over the world.

Cons

As a corporate employee, supporting all OpCos, it's very complex... never a boring day.

Pros

Benefits were nice if you were aware of them and used them up year after year. People were generally nice.

Cons

No growth. A lot of people had been in their current positions forever and Promotions came when people quit at DPC. Usually most jobs have no career upward mobility and don't think about professional development opportunities like conference, seminars or training. There were rarely budgets for those. Company recently released a version of LinkedIn learning after growing feedback (a few years) on professional development
