Pros
I was with Dragos for five years running marketing. It was the best five years of my professional experience, and I highly recommend working there. I was fortunate enough to join a company with the best mission on the planet: to safeguard civilization from those trying to disrupt the industrial infrastructure we depend on every day. This mission attracted the best and brightest OT cybersecurity SMEs, especially in electric, oil & gas, and manufacturing, as well as the most dedicated people I’ve had the pleasure to work with. Customers luv Dragos. I never worked for a company with so many engaged and enthusiastic customers. I often remarked that when marketing reached out to a group of customers for a reference, an event, webinar, briefing, etc., I don’t know that any one of them ever said “no.” If you work in marketing, you know this is unheard of. I attribute this both to the mission-driven culture at Dragos and customers feeling part of that mission, and to the people at Dragos who treat customers as members of the broader OT community and an essential element for our mission’s success. Dragos prides itself on its culture of transparency. I’ve never worked with a company that has shared more information about the business than Dragos. At times too much information was shared. I say that because it can be difficult to understand aspects of the business and go-to-market strategy, financials, and other metrics without full context. This isn’t a matter of “then well share more,” it’s just not practical. If you’re interested in working for a mission-driven company, where the mission is focused on community, I don’t think you can do better than Dragos. And if you want to work with or become one of the best talents in OT cybersecurity, I don’t think you’ll find a better opportunity than Dragos, the recognized global authority in this space.
Cons
Dragos is a rapidly growing startup experiencing many typical startup company pains which can be difficult and a bad fit for some.
