Pros
Remote work environment, good salaries for engineers, good benefits and smart people doing the actual work.
Cons
Senior leadership rose from being independent contributors, which is okay if they have the aptitude and proper training. They didn't. There was infighting, drama, and an unnecessarily powder keg environment in product where there didn't need to be. Smart people left their equity on the table and said enough and those who were left after multiple layoffs only did so because the job market was so rough. No merit increases and no promotions unless you worked your way into the good graces of a member of the executive team. Incredible talent was wasted every day because mid to senior leadership were too in the weeds and incapable of setting goals that made sense and leading an organization to achieve them. The "north star" changed every quarter. It's a shame, but if they shift gears it can still be salvaged. Not sure if they're willing to do that.
