Pros
Local team was awesome and supportive. Only thing that kept me there for longer than 2 weeks.
Cons
Corporate leadership created a culture of constant micromanagement. Employees were regularly called “lazy” during company-wide meetings and singled out in front of everyone. No matter how well you performed or how far above quota you were, there was always another metric to criticize.
Work-life balance was practically nonexistent. 60-hour work weeks were not uncommon nor was being expected to work Saturdays. It wasn’t uncommon to receive texts on weekends criticizing activity metrics or demanding more. It felt like you were expected to be available seven days a week.
The role was also far more stressful than advertised. Corporate leadership repeatedly described it as a “low-stress sales job,” but the short sales cycle and constant pressure made it anything but. Metrics are set extremely high and even when you do hit them they will ask you why you aren’t doing more.
Employee turnover was extremely high, and despite calling itself a marketing agency, the company felt much more like a sales organization where hitting activity metrics and bringing in new clients took priority over everything else.
If you don’t mind an extremely high-pressure, micromanaged sales environment, this may be a fit. If you value work-life balance, autonomy, and leadership that trusts high performers, I would look elsewhere.
