Pros

Local team was awesome and supportive. Only thing that kept me there for longer than 2 weeks.

Cons

Corporate leadership created a culture of constant micromanagement. Employees were regularly called “lazy” during company-wide meetings and singled out in front of everyone. No matter how well you performed or how far above quota you were, there was always another metric to criticize. Work-life balance was practically nonexistent. 60-hour work weeks were not uncommon nor was being expected to work Saturdays. It wasn’t uncommon to receive texts on weekends criticizing activity metrics or demanding more. It felt like you were expected to be available seven days a week. The role was also far more stressful than advertised. Corporate leadership repeatedly described it as a “low-stress sales job,” but the short sales cycle and constant pressure made it anything but. Metrics are set extremely high and even when you do hit them they will ask you why you aren’t doing more. Employee turnover was extremely high, and despite calling itself a marketing agency, the company felt much more like a sales organization where hitting activity metrics and bringing in new clients took priority over everything else. If you don’t mind an extremely high-pressure, micromanaged sales environment, this may be a fit. If you value work-life balance, autonomy, and leadership that trusts high performers, I would look elsewhere.

Pros

Great team culture with constant peer support, making the role low-stress and collaborative. Hitting goals feels rewarding, especially when it leads to client satisfaction and bonus opportunities. Plus, the flexible work-from-home setup, strong leadership, and overall positive environment make it an enjoyable place to work.

Cons

Heavy workload at times, which can feel fast-paced, but it keeps the day moving and makes the work more engaging. Like many marketing roles, priorities can shift quickly, so staying organized and adaptable is important.

Pros

You may find opportunities to make impactful friendships with colleagues who support each other through the day to day challenges.

Cons

Leadership is chronically unstable. Company goals shift so often that its nearly impossible to maintain momentum. There have been multiple rounds of unexpected layoffs leaving a feeling of mistrust and severe job insecurity. Remaining staff has then been expected to absorb any responsibilities of those that have been let go without any adjustment to compensation. The founder lacks professional accountability and frequently makes culturally inappropriate comments that undermine an inclusive environment. Despite any "people-first" branding, the operational focus remains strictly on increasing board member wealth at the expense of employee well-being and job security. If you are looking for a position that you can grow in and a company where you can make a positive impact on small businesses, this is not for you.

We're sorry to hear that your overall experience didn't reflect the culture we strive to create. Periods of organizational change can be challenging, and they can affect employees in many different ways, but our goal is always to communicate thoughtfully, support our teams, and make decisions with the long-term health of the business and our clients in mind. We take concerns like these very seriously, and regularly evaluate our practices based on employee (or former employee) feedback. We wish you success in your future endeavors.
